 Novilon is produced in co-operation with renowned British  company NYCLOCHEM, LTD. which has in the last 20  years become one of the leading producers of cast  polyamide in Great Britain. NOVILON 6 (yellow) – PA 6 G basic type

 Novilon 6 is the basic quality of cast polyamide. Its use in  industry is very diverse. Experiences has shown that  NOVILON 6 can be used in large number of applications  (examples) except in those which demand copolymer  NOVILON 6/12 or self-oiling NOVILON-OILON. NOVILON 6  is one of the hardest types of Novilon. It is excellently  proof against wearing out because of the highest tensile  strenght and stretch modulus. It does not grows old and it does not become fragile despite vibrations and other conditions at the working place. It remains unchanged when in lasting contact with various chemicals such as diluted acid and oxidants which usually qiuckly destroy many metallic components. Relatively low specific weight of NOVILON is extremely important factor from economical and mechanical point of view. Novilon is eight times lighter than bronze, seven times lighter than castings, twice lighter than aluminium. This fact essentially reduces difficulty when handling and changing huge parts. Examples of the use of NOVILON 6 (applications) are so diverse that naming them would be difficult. Only the most basic examples are presented such as handing over devices,star wheels, sliding plates, bands and borders, and little rollers on automatic transporting lines. Chain wheel gears, meshing teeth and bearings are just some of the most usual examples of application in industry where has NOVILON 6 has been established. NOVILON 6 is also used in ship-building.


NOVILON 6/12 (blue)…

Novilon 6/12 is a copolymer of caprolactam and laurillactam. It is a bit softer than NOVILON 6, but nevertheless tougher than NOVILON 6. It is very proof against wearing out with its high tensile strenght. It was specially developed for production of ball valve bearings for oil drilling platforms in Northern Sea where in harsh conditions its high impact resistance has been prooved. NOVILON 6/12 is produced in two qualities: NOVILON… hardness from 72 to 76… Special use includes number of special examples in iron and steel manufacture.


NOVILON-OILON (green)…

 Since its first appearance on the world market in 1974  OILON has made great impact on world industry. OILON is  truly self-oiling unique material for production of bearings.  Its excellently proof against wearing out is a well known  characteristic of cast polyamides – natural and filled with  dry ointments (lubricants) such as molybdic disulphide.  NOVILON-OILON is a big step forward and truly the first self-oiling polyamide.


WHAT IS NOVILON-OILON?

Novilon-oilon is a cast polyamide in which tiny microscopical drops of oil have been built in at the starting phase of production. Oil has become an integral part of the material structure. Built in oil can not vaporize or flow out of the material – notwithstanding conditions of working and use.


OIL ALWAYS ON THE SLIDING SURFACE!

Oil, built in in our NOVILON-OILON, always stays on the surface notwithstanding how much material has been away taken when producing specific part (component). Although it can not be seen or felt its microdrops are regularly dispersed in all volume of material.


UNBELIEVABLE DURABILITY OF NOVILON-OILON!

With the same use parts made of NOVILON-OILON last five to eight times longer than the same parts made of natural or molybdic disulphide filled polyamide. Numerous buyers of this material were convinced into believing this. Their experiences have proved this and were confirmed by foreign scientific research in Great Britain, Germany, and USA. This almost unbelievable durability of this material has been achieved by building in exactly fixed amount of oil into the structure of material. Lubricant reduces friction coefficient on sliding surfaces for more than 25% which prevents excessive warming what is the main reason for shorter lifetime of unoiled polyamide materials.


IT'S TOO GOD TO BE TRUE?

Many buyers have found out that lifetime of their individual parts (components) has been prolonged for more than seven times. In many cases NOVILON-OILON came handy where standard polyamides were out of the question.


DIMENSIONS? THEY DO NOT REPRESENT A PROBLEM!

Technological process used by AKRIPOL allows production of extremely large parts and components the only limitation of which is appropriate handling and machine working. Lower limits of our standard programme are pipes - outer diameter 55mm, rods – diameter 50mm and plates – thickness 5mm.

We claim with full responsibilty that standard cast polyamides in many cases of use (application last five to ten times longer than their metallic predecesors made of castings, bronze, aluminum or braziery. SPECIAL CASTS MADE TO MEASURE

Akripol can produce casts made of NOVILON which correspond to the shape and dimension of the final product. Because of this minimal machine working is required before building in.
